Table 1 Summary of retention measurements using a set of 140 antibiotics and 421 non-antibiotic drugs. Compounds were classified according to criteria outlined above. MIC values were determined for the 140 antibiotics using MG1655 as wild type E. coli and an isogenic derivative containing a tolC::kan insertion (see Supplementary Table 1 for detailed values). Antibiotic set contains 138 unique drugs and 2 galenic forms of doxycycline and roxithromycin. RP: retention-positive; RN: retention-negative.
