NAC inhibited NETs stimulated by B. pseudomallei. Neutrophils were pretreated with 0.1, 1, 10 or 15 mM NAC for 5 min prior to co-culture with B. pseudomallei at MOI 10 in the presence of NAC for 90 min. The images presented are representatives of duplicate samples from three independent experiments, captured after Giemsa staining using a light microscope. Black arrows denote B. pseudomallei and white arrows indicate NET formation.
