NAC inhibited B. pseudomallei biofilm formation when co-cultured with PMNs. The biofilm formation of B. pseudomallei H777 in the presence of PMNs at MOI 10, with or without 15 mM NAC during the initial 3 h and over a duration of 48 h, were quantitatively assessed through crystal-violet staining. Data displayed as mean ± SD. Asterisks indicate statistical significance (****p < 0.0001). Bp = B. pseudomallei LB = Luria-Bertani medium PMNs = polymorphonuclear cells cR = complete RPMI N = 15 mM NAC.
