NuStim improved the microstructure of the pelvic floor muscle and anterior vaginal wall, reduced the mitochondrial abnormalities and endoplasmic reticulum under electron microscopy. Mitochondria are indicated by green arrows, while myofibrillar rupture is marked by yellow arrows. Myofibrillar atrophy and thinning are highlighted by red arrows, and the endoplasmic reticulum is indicated by black arrows.
