Changes in the expression of proteins related to apoptosis in A549 cells. A549 cells were infected with S. suis serotype 31 (SS31) and S. suis serotype 2 (P1/7) (SS2 (P1/7)). The expression of apoptosis-related molecules, caspase 3 and caspase 9, were normalized that of β-actin. Data are presented as mean ± SD of three separate experiments. *p < 0.05.
