  1. Between-group comparisons were carried out using chi-square tests, Student’s t-tests, or Wilcoxon-Mann–Whitney tests, and based on complete cases. Progression was defined as an increase of ≥ 1 in the Kellgren/Lawrence (K/L) grade in any of the 8 distal interphalangeal (DIP) joints from baseline to follow-up in patients with DIP joint osteoarthritis (OA).
