  1. Alcohol consumption (%); men (≥ 40 g), women (≥ 20 g).
  2. The multivariable-adjusted model was adjusted for age, history of cardiovascular disease, noisy occupation, family history of hearing loss, educational history, number of teeth, smoking status, hypertension, diabetes, alcohol consumption, and cohort type.
  3. In the interaction analysis, a statistical interaction between alcohol consumption and each SNP was included in the binary logistic regression model.
  4. SNPs, single nucleotide polymorphisms; N, number; β, the regression coefficient; CI, confidence interval; FDR, false discovery rate;
  5. ALDH, acetaldehyde dehydrogenase; GCKR, glucokinase regulatory protein; KLB, klotho beta; ADH, alcohol dehydrogenase;
  6. GOT2, glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase.
