ACE accelerates HaCaT cell migration. (A) Cells were treated with mitomycin C at the indicated concentrations in the absence (left panel) or presence (right panel) of ACE (1 and 3 mg/ml, respectively). Cell number was counted every 24 h by trypan blue staining. (B) Cells cultured in mitomycin C (2 µg/ml) containing medium were treated with vehicle or ACE (1 and 3 mg/ml), and cell migration was determined at the indicated time point under a microscope. The effect of ACE on cell migration was evaluated using Image J software to quantify the gap recovery area as shown (A, right panel). * p < 0.05 compared to vehicle-treated cells at the same migration time.
