  1. Poor functional outcome was defined as 90-day modified Rankin Scale score 3-6. Three models with progressive adjustment for potential confounders were constructed to evaluate the robustness of the association. Results are presented as odds ratios with 95% confidence intervals. Bold P values indicate statistical significance (P<0.05). Models were constructed with progressive adjustment for potential confounders: Model 1: Unadjuted Model 2: Adjusted for age, baseline NIHSS score, baseline GCS score, hyperlipidemia, and atrial fibrillation Model 3: Additionally adjusted for thrombectomy attempts, successful reperfusion (mTICI 2b-3), and laboratory parameters (white blood cell, neutrophil, lymphocyte, platelet count, fasting glucose, creatinine, and uric acid). Abbreviations: OR, odds ratio; CI, confidence interval; NIHSS, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale; GCS, Glasgow Coma Scale; mTICI, modified Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction.
