Growth of E. coli (a) and S. aureus (b) on BC when bacteria inoculation is performed on the opposite side of the sample with respect to the antimicrobial treatment. Antimicrobial peptide treatment is compared to untreated controls, Rifampin and H2O2 treated samples. Bars indicate the mean and standard deviation (SD) among three replicates for each sample. The results presented refer to one of two independent experiments performed that showed consistent results.
