Temporal profiles of functional connectivity within the arithmetic network. For each operand (N1–N3), we defined three time points: onset (defined as maximal slope; upward-pointing triangle), peak (diamond) and offset (defined as minimal slope; downward-pointing triangle). Dots at the bottom of corresponding color indicate significance of difference against the baseline values distribution (P < 0.05, Wilcoxon rank-sum test, FDR corrected for multiple testing over different time points).
