The original version of this Article contained an error in Fig. 6, where during figure assembly, the wrong microphotograph was uploaded for the observation under the ML group (liposome + nanoparticles) in kidney tissue.

The original Fig. 6 and its accompanying legend appear below.

Analysis of in vivo toxicity of MLs. Representative microphotographs of the histopathological lesions induced in the in vivo toxicity analysis in mice. We observed in the MLC group (liposome+nanoparticles+CDDP) scant acute tubular necrosis, and mild tubular dilation and nuclear dysplasia (arrow) in kidney; diffuse macrovacuolar steatosis (arrows), and moderate chronic inflammatory infiltrate (asterisk) in liver; no injury was detected in lung. In the ML-treated mice (liposome+magnetic nanoparticles) no tissue damage was detected, except a scant intraparenchymal inflammatory infiltrate in liver (asterisk) in some mice. Animals received weekly injections i.p. and 5 mice per group were analyzed at day 35. Hematoxylin-eosin, original magnification 10x. Bar scale: 100 micrometers.
