Shadings in (e–h) denote statistically significant differences at the 95% confidence level, based on the two-tailed Student’s t-test. The blue box in (g) (15–27.5°N, 105–170°E) denotes the region with significant TC genesis decrease from the mid-RU to mid-RD periods. Only the TC peak season from July to September is analyzed.
