  1. Text version of table available in Supp. Data 4. Motifs color-coded by motif class. Score refers to the overall score of the final analysis. F refers to the “0” position of phenylalanine in the motif (lowercase f in sequence). “Y” in previously validated column indicates previous experimentally validated interaction (direct or inferred; Fig. 2B and Supp. Fig. 4A). Asterisk (*) next to Y indicates motifs initially identified in preliminary Scansite3 analysis that led to publication of validated interactions prior to publication of this study19,44. Sequence annotation for protein “Tumor suppressor ARF” (indicated by †) changed during analysis, but the result did not affect the score. “Solvent Access” deduced from AlphaFold2 models, or from experimentally determined structures of protein or structurally-related protein57,58. Codes for solvent accessibility: L loop, B β-hairpin, E packed β-hairpin, T terminal β-sheet strand, O packed loop, S packed terminal β-sheet strand, and -PL partial loop. Full scoring details and the entire dataset are found in Methods, Supp. Fig. 4B, and Supp. Data 1. Amino acid frequencies for each motif class found in Supp. Fig. 4C.
