Extended Data Fig. 8

Untargeted metabolomics datasets were derived from liver tissue (a), isolated hepatic mitochondria (b), and plasma (c) pre and 48 h post hepatectomy from SLC25A51 overexpressing and eGFP control mice. Statistical comparisons to obtain significantly regulated metabolites were made between regenerated versus resected states for OE and eGFP independently. Venn diagrams show significantly downregulated (green) or upregulated (red) metabolites for each group. Bar plots in Venn diagrams show the mean log2 fold change of the regenerated versus resected normalized counts for all metabolites in the intersect or individual subsets [either OE or GFP], error bars represent S.E.M. The number of metabolites in each subset is denoted in the figure. Statistical analysis for the bar plots was performed using an unpaired Student’s t-test with P values represented as P ≤ 0.05 (*), P ≤ 0.01 (**), and P ≤ 0.0001 (***), (n = 5 for eGFP and n = 8 for A51 OE). Enrichment pathway scatter plots were made by selecting the metabolites within each subset, eGFP alone, OE alone, or all significant up- or downregulated metabolites as indicated.
