Correction to: Nature Metabolism https://doi.org/10.1038/s42255-023-00808-9, published online 15 May 2023.
In the version of this article initially published, several errors were identified in figure citations, dataset annotation and image presentation.
First, in the Results section describing RNA decay assays (“To further test whether deregulated gene expression is related to decreased degradation due to loss of Mettl3…”), the figure reference was incorrectly cited as Fig. 4j. The correct figure reference is Fig. 5g.
Second, in the description of the sphingolipid metabolism analysis (“we then focused on genes associated with sphingolipid metabolism and confirmed the upregulation of transcripts implicated in sphingolipid metabolism in Mettl3ΔHep livers by RT–qPCR”), the figure references Fig. 3f,g were incorrect. The correct references are Fig. 4f,g.
Third, the GEO accession number for the transcriptomic dataset used to analyze liver development from embryonic day 17.5 to postnatal day 60 was incorrectly listed as GSE103322. The correct accession number is GSE58827.
Fourth, in Fig. 3f (right panel), the color assignment in the quantification of m6A levels was incorrect: blue and red data points were interchanged. Blue represents Mettl3ΔHep, and red represents AAV8-Cre.
Finally, in Extended Data Fig. 10k, the image representing Cyt-c staining in the EGFP control group was incorrect.
These corrections do not affect the results or conclusions of the study. The authors apologize for these errors. Text and figures have been updated in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
