The body grid first identifies the application scenarios. In outdoor scenarios, the body grid operates independently and controls the energy and information flow among devices to meet the wearers’ needs. The indoor scenario on the left shows the composition of the external energy system and the interaction with the wearer and body grid. By shrinking the cooling and heating space and implementing needs-based control, the body grid enables large energy and carbon savings. \({t}_{a,{NES}}\) refers to air temperature indoors without using appliances and \({t}_{a,{OES}}\) is achieved by using appliances.
