The calculation is shown by the green line. The red points show the result of a set of measurements resonant with atomic transitions (labeled on the figure). The blue points show the result of off-resonant measurements taken on the 47S1/2→47P1/2 transition (resonant at 37.41 GHz). Both sets of measurements are taken using 20 mm x 0.5 mm Rydberg laser beams, covering the active region of the device. The large resonance is due to the slow light effect while the enhancement at frequencies greater that ~37.8 GHz is associated with the enhancement of the slot waveguide. The error bars are obtained using the uncertainty in the fitting of the data to the model described in the Supplemental Material.
