The growing burden of anxiety, depression and self harm among adolescents in many parts of the world highlights the urgent need to better understand the factors shaping young people’s mental health and wellbeing. High quality evidence on the experiences, environments and developmental pathways influencing adolescent mental health is essential to inform prevention strategies and guide policy action.
With this cross-journal Collection, the editors at Communications Health, Communications Psychology, and Nature Communications invite manuscripts that investigate the distribution and determinants of adolescent mental health across diverse settings as well as innovative prevention, detection and intervention approaches. All the journals will consider original Articles, Reviews, Comments and Perspectives.
