Vacancy for Social Media Editor
EJCN invites applications for the position of Social Media Editor. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Journal’s social media presence in close collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief and the Publisher.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing designated social media accounts and promoting published research on a regular schedule.
- Engaging with the academic community and general public to enhance the Journal’s visibility.
- Ensuring all posts meet high editorial standards and comply with Springer Nature brand, legal, and copyright guidelines.
- Exercising good judgment when addressing sensitive or controversial topics and maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
- Monitoring competitor journals and reporting quarterly on social media engagement.
- Assisting in promoting the Journal at meetings and within relevant scientific communities.
Candidates should have strong communication skills, familiarity with academic publishing and social media trends, and the ability to represent the Journal professionally online. The position may best suit a person either pursuing an MSc or PhD in Nutrition/Public Health or a recent post-graduate
This is not a full-time position and it will be assumed the candidates have gainful employment elsewhere. The EJCN will, however, pay an honorarium and afford free access to the journal.
