Resistance to radiation therapy remains a major challenge in treatment of glioblastoma (GBM). Here the authors identify N-acylneuraminate-9-phosphatase (NANP) as a potential radiosensitizing target, which promotes the mesenchymal state of GBM cells through modulating sialylation and internalization of TNFR1.
