While crystallization-driven self-assembly and liquid-crystallization-driven self-assembly are often used to design one-dimensional self-assembled nanostructures but end-to-end coupling of cylindrical micelles is rarely reported. Here the authors report the end-to-end coupling of long cylindrical micelles formed by copolymer self-assembly to form elongated nanowires.
