Wu et al. model the impact of HIV test-and-treat in Taiwan, showing it reduces HIV transmission but is insufficient to eliminate HIV among men who have sex with men (MSM). Achieving elimination by 2030 would require a 50% coverage of pre-exposure prophylaxis for young, high-risk, HIV-negative MSM, which is a cost-saving option for society.
