  • Germinal centre (GC) reactions are driven by T follicular helper (Tfh) cells and their dysregulation can cause autoimmune disease. Here the authors show that the orphan receptor DR6 is a Tfh cell marker that binds syndecan-1 on GC B cells driving autoimmunity in lupus-prone mice.

  • The enzymatic degradation of amorphous poly (ethylene terephthalate)(PET) films by a PET-degrading enzyme was analyzed using SAXS, WAXD, SEM, X-CT, and weight-loss measurements. FAST-PETase induced the emergence of hierarchical boring structures ranging from 10⁻⁵ m to 10⁻⁸ m on PET, revealing that enzymatic degradation proceeds through interfacial interactions within the evolving porous surface layer. This study contributes essential knowledge toward the sustainable use of plastics, responding to growing global concerns over microplastic pollution and the scarcity of fossil resources.

  • Hetero-telechelic poly(ethylene glycol)s that contain a hydroxy group and a maleimide-furan adduct their α and ω ends, respectively, were isolated as a novel type of hetero-telechelic polymers (HTPs) via the post-modification of commercially available hydroxy-terminated PEGs with furan-protected p-maleimidophenyl isocyanate and subsequent purification with reversed-phase column chromatography at critical conditions.
