Chen, Zhu, Gao et al. investigate the prevalence of CKM syndrome and its association with mortality in MASLD patients using data from the NHANES III and Kailuan cohorts. Most patients with MASLD have concurrent CKM stage 2 or higher, and advanced CKM stages are associated with significantly higher all-cause and cardiovascular mortality.
