Macrophage-derived fibronectin suppresses antitumor immunity via tissue stiffening and immunosuppressive cell induction in cancer mouse models

Tumor-associated macrophages and tumor stiffness may both support an immunosuppressive milieu in non-small cell lung cancer, but the underlying crosstalk remains unclear. Here, the authors identify macrophage-derived fibronectin as an immunosuppressive agent, both promoting extracellular matrix stiffness and inducing immunosuppressive immune cells.

Built-in electric field engineering in Co₂N_0.67/CoP heterostructures for glycerol electrooxidation-assisted hydrogen production

The electrochemical oxidation of glycerol is a promising strategy for sustainable clean energy, although it still faces several challenges. Here, the authors report a catalyst that can spontaneously generate a strong built-in electric field, thereby simultaneously enhancing both hydrogen evolution and glycerol oxidation reaction processes for low-voltage hydrogen production.

Targeting the ceramidase ACER3 attenuates cholestasis in mice by mitigating bile acid overload via unsaturated ceramide-mediated LXRβ signaling transduction

Ceramide metabolism has garnered increasing attention in liver diseases, but its role in cholestatic liver injury remains unclear.
