Most near-infrared room-temperature phosphorescent (NIR-RTP) materials are highly conjugated, requiring complex synthesis and resulting in poor processability. Here, the authors demonstrate the synthesis of a short-conjugated polymer via multicomponent spiropolymerization and blended it with polystyrene, achieving NIR-RTP polymers with good processability and high Stokes shift.
