Spintronic devices for artificial intelligence hardware can bridge the gap between neuroscience and electronics. Here we discuss the dynamics of such devices, enabling neural and synaptic functionalities, alongside a cross-layer approach — from devices to circuits and systems — for efficient neural computing systems.
