A clever structural concept in Eu2+-activated glaserite-type Rb3Y(PO4)2 breaks with a fundamental paradigm of phosphor design and allows keeping the internal quantum yield high despite high activator concentrations. Mixing that phosphate with a low (0.8 mol%) and high (70 mol%) Eu content paves the way for sustainable warm-white LEDs.
