Vattikonda et al. combine a conceptual mathematical model of seizure generation with personalized information about brain connectivity to tackle the challenge of predictive brain surgery. The validated model was used to successfully determine the outcome of surgery in retrospective patient data for removal of epileptogenic brain tissue.
