Single-photon nonlinearity at room temperature

Nonlinearity induced by a single photon is desirable because it can drive power consumption of optical devices to their fundamental quantum limit, and is demonstrated here at room temperature.

Polariton-mediated energy transfer between organic dyes in a strongly coupled optical microcavity

The energy interaction between different exciton species is affected by the optical environment in which they are embedded. It is now shown that mixed exciton–polariton states in strongly coupled microcavities can facilitate energy transfer between organic dyes at length scales greater than the Förster transfer radius.

A Fourier neural operator approach for modelling exciton-polariton condensate systems

Exciton-polariton condensates in optical microcavities enable next-generation all-optical devices, but simulating their complex nonlinear dynamics remains computationally challenging. The authors demonstrate that Fourier Neural Operators trained on experimental and numerical data predict condensate behavior three orders of magnitude faster than conventional solvers while maintaining high accuracy.
