Metal-catalyzed hydrosilylation of alkynes is a promising method for synthesizing alkenylsilanes, though achieving precise regio- and stereo-control on unsymmetrical internal alkyne remains challenging. Here the authors show a regioselective and stereodivergent Ru-catalyzed hydrosilylation.
