In highly myopic eyes, early formation of nuclear cataracts with polarized and compacted lens fiber alignment is observed, yet the underlying mechanism is largely unknown. Here, the authors show that TGF-β1-induced m6A modifications contribute to this process by modulating the PCP pathway.
