Th17 cells can transdifferentiate into regulatory T (T_reg) cells. Here the authors characterize tumour-driven Th17-to-T_regcell transdifferentiation and identify potential cancer therapy targets.

Anti-PD-L2 immunotherapy is efficacious against melanoma in aged hosts through IL-17 and IFNγ signalling

PD-L2 can bind the immune checkpoint PD-1. However, its potential as a therapeutic target for immune checkpoint blockade in cancer has not been extensively explored. Here, the authors demonstrate that αPD-L2 is effective in aged, but not young, melanoma murine models.

The vast majority of BRCA1-driven breast cancers derive from luminal progenitor cells but the mechanisms of this lineage specificity are unclear.
