  • The authors showcase a video-rate hyperspectral imager based on a single-pixel photodetector that can achieve high-throughput hyperspectral video recording at a low bandwidth. Specifically, they propose a joint spatial-spectral encoding scheme which can encode the scene into highly compressed single-pixel measurements and obtain temporal correlation at the same time.

  • Long-range mid-wave infrared (MWIR) imaging is limited by bulky, heavy, and expensive optics. This work presents a Golay sparse-aperture metalens computational imaging approach that achieves high-resolution, near-diffraction-limited images, enabling compact and lightweight MWIR imaging systems.

  • Exploring the miniaturization of imaging systems, researchers use inverse-design for broadband meta-optics in the LWIR spectrum. Here, authors achieve a six-fold Strehl ratio improvement in image quality over conventional metalenses using a novel design and computational techniques.
