Rapid urbanization has led to widespread increases in artificial light at night, yet its ecological impacts remain underexplored. Using multi-scale data from 452 cities worldwide, this study suggests that artificial light tends to delay leaf senescence in vegetation, with implications for balancing urban development and ecosystem conservation.
