Semiconductor nanostructures are fabricated via deposition and lithographic techniques and provide suitable means to tailor spin dynamics. The authors demonstrate that even light can induce a non-destructive and reconfigurable confinement potential, eventually offering an unmatched flexibility for controlling electron spin coherence.
