Cyclohexanone oxime electrosynthesis has low Faradaic efficiency at high current densities. Now, high NO coverage is found to favour oxime production. A doping strategy is proposed to break the electronic symmetry of catalytic sites, achieving ampere-level electrosynthesis with 86% Faradaic efficiency by suppressing NO–NO coupling at high NO coverages.
