Cryo-EM structure of TMEM164 reveals distinct phospholipid remodeling mechanisms with anti-ferroptotic potential

Phospholipid remodeling governs cell fate, yet its ferroptosis-related mechanisms remain elusive. Here, we report the cryo-EM structure of phospholipid remodeler TMEM164, identify its lipid remodeling mechanism, and discover Montelukast S- enantiomer as a potent inhibitor.

Laser-induced porous graphene films from commercial polymers

Oxygen reduction reaction provides an environmentally-benign route for hydrogen peroxide production but lacks efficient catalysts to achieve high selectivity and activity simultaneously. Here, the authors report a boron-doped carbon catalyst which shows great promise with outstanding performance.
