Elongated grain morphology for efficient and radiant NIR-II Sn-based perovskite light-emitting diodes

Guan et al. report a molecular regulator to control crystallization kinetics in Sn-based perovskite, resulting in elongated island-like grain structure that regulates charge injection and recombination, enabling NIR-II LEDs with efficiency of 10.7%, peak radiance of 173 W sr-1 m-2, and operational lifetime of 1,378 min.

Targeted elimination of tetravalent-Sn-induced defects for enhanced efficiency and stability in lead-free NIR-II perovskite LEDs

Guan et al. report a strategy of moisture-triggered selective hydrolysis of Sn4+ into Sn(OH)4, eliminating Sn4 + -induced defects in tin-based perovskites and enhancing the electron injection in NIR-II LED devices with peak emission of 945 nm and external quantum efficiency of 7.6%.

Precision targeting of β-catenin induces tumor reprogramming and immunity in hepatocellular cancers

Gain-of-function mutations in CTNNB1 (encoding for b-catenin) leading to deregulated Wnt/β-catenin signaling are frequently observed in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Here the authors show that inhibiting b-catenin with lipid nanoparticles encapsulating siRNA targeting CTNNB1 impairs tumor growth and promotes anti-tumor immunity in preclinical HCC models.

rRNA biogenesis regulates mouse 2C-like state by 3D structure reorganization of peri-nucleolar heterochromatin

The role of the nucleolus in cell fate is not well known. Here the authors show nucleolar integrity maintained by rRNA-mediated liquid-liquid phase separation and 3D chromatin structure of perinucleolar heterochromatin regulates the fate transition of mouse embryonic stem cells to 2 cell-stage embryo-like cells, and that rRNA biogenesis regulates the 2-cell-to-4-cell transition of development.
