The 2-Methylglyoxal (MG) metabolic pathway shows significant correlation with the development of various tumor cells, however, screening pathway inhibitor using live cell is still challenging. Here, the authors design a membrane impermeable probe and develop a live cell-based high-throughput screening system to identify compounds that control and perturb MG metabolism.
