Jadhav K et al. systematically review and analyse genetic susceptibility for development of oral squamous cell carcinoma. Asian populations show high genetic susceptibility with genetic factors such as P53, CASP 8, HIF, DEC1, MTNR1 and CYP1A1 polymorphism increasing risk in the presence of risky behaviors such as using tobacco and alcohol.
