Reaction conditions: 1 or 4 (0.1 mmol), 2 (0.25 mmol), CuOAc (3.7 mg, 30 mol%), (S)-L21 (13.3 mg, 30 mol%), Cu(OAc)2 (12.7 mg, 0.07 mmol), NaOAc (8.2 mg, 0.1 mmol), DMSO (5.0 mL), 60 °C, air, 12 h. Isolated yield and the ratio of mono/di were determined by analysis of the crude 1H NMR. The er value for the mono-alkynylated product was determined by chiral HPLC.
