From: TAD border deletion at the Kit locus causes tissue-specific ectopic activation of a neighboring gene
Disruption of the CTCF binding sites at the border between Kit and Kdr TADs results in Kdr activation in melanocytes. We suggest that it is due to the difference in regulatory context between mast cells in melanocytes, specifically localisation of enhancers.
