  1. a For a total of 1310 coated black carbon (BC) particles;
  2. b M1 represents whether the cumulative equivalent volume diameter of all BC cores in a particle (Dc) is larger than 200 nm. If so, the value is 1; otherwise, it is 0. M2 represents whether the diameter of the whole particle (Dp) is larger than 400 nm. If so, the value is 1; otherwise, it is 0. Only when M1 and M2 meet both conditions is M1×M2 = 1.
