From: 4R-tau seeding activity reveals molecular subtypes in progressive supranuclear palsy

Representative immunoblots of primary motor cortex samples from high and low seeders, digested with PK or TL, reveal distinct resistance patterns across tau epitopes: a N-terminus (tau 6–18), b central domain (HT7), and c C-terminus (tau 46). All three detections were performed sequentially on the same membrane, with stripping between antibodies over successive days. These blots were performed once on the indicated samples. PSP progressive supranuclear palsy, PK proteinase K, TL thermolysin, HT7 human tau monoclonal antibody clone HT7, tau 6–18 / tau 46 monoclonal antibodies recognizing N-terminal/C-terminal tau epitopes.
