In the version of the article initially published, there was an error in Extended Data Fig. 8b. The “Clone#1, siBRCA1#2” image was inadvertently a duplicate of the “U2OS, siBRCA1#1” image. We have identified the original gels and the figure has been corrected in the HTML and PDF versions of the article. This change does not alter the findings or conclusions of this report.
