Each bar represents the mean death rate derived from the GBD 2023 draws for each region, with the thin black lines indicating the 95% uncertainty intervals (UI). Blue bars represent males, and pink bars represent females. These estimates are population-level data (no separate biological or technical replicates), and the unit of study is the entire population in each region. No control group was used, as this is an observational, population-based analysis.
