Organic capping ligands (top) are categorized according to their denticity pattern with the QD surface and the length of their molecular chain. Examples include monodentate ligands such as DDT, bidentate ligands such as MPA, and long-chain ligands such as OA. Inorganic capping ligands (bottom) are categorized based on their electronic interactions with the QD surfaces.
