Optical neural networks (ONNs) offer a promising alternative to traditional substrates, with improvements in speed and energy efficiency. This work presents a ternary weight semiconductor laserbased ONN, trained with an in-situ optimization algorithm that enhances convergence and performance, demonstrating long-term inference stability above 99%.
